Biography

Bill Barksdale is a lifelong resident of Okmulgee, Oklahoma. While an undergraduate student at the University of Oklahoma (1966 - 1970), he was a member of Phi Kappa Psi fraternity and the OU Men's Tennis Team. He graduated OU Law School in 1973. After serving on active duty as a Captain in the U.S. Army, he returned to Okmulgee to practice with his father, John H.W. Barksdale, and Dale F. Rainey until their deaths. He was appointed City of Okmulgee Municipal Judge in 1979. He has continued his service as Municipal Judge while maintaining an active law practice.
