Biography

Brandon Duber brings a wealth of both civil and criminal law experience to Bentoff & Duber. Currently he focuses his practice on workers’ compensation, personal injury, criminal defense and medical malpractice. He represents those individuals accused of committing a crime, whether it be a serious felony, DUI or minor misdemeanor, as well as those who are injured through a work accident, car accident or while receiving medical treatment. His exceptional trial experience and relentless aggressive work-ethic make him an invaluable asset to the firm. He truly works tirelessly to make sure our clients receive the best results available, sacrificing all he has to his cases.

Prior to joining the firm, Brandon first worked as a Prosecutor with the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office where he first-chaired complex criminal litigation. As a prosecutor he tried more than forty felony jury trials and dozens of bench trials. Spending nearly every day in the courtroom, Brandon earned the respect of judges and attorneys alike. During his tenure with the prosecutor’s office, Brandon gained national media attention on Court TV and Dateline NBC while successfully prosecuting an individual accused of capital murder. He also fine-tuned his appellate experience, drafting dozens of briefs and arguing those briefs before the court of appeals.

Brandon then moved to Denver, Colorado where he joined a prominent boutique law firm, specializing in personal injury and construction defect litigation. He represented an assortment of clients in the construction industry, ranging from subcontractors to general contractors in both commercial and residential projects, and was involved in all phases of personal injury litigation, including auto accidents.

Super Lawyers, a rating service honoring outstanding lawyers, has named Brandon to its Rising Stars list for years 2013 – 2019 and to the Super Lawyers list for years 2022 – 2026.

Brandon received his Bachelor of Arts from Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY in 2001, and his Juris Doctor from the Case Western Reserve University School of Law in Cleveland, Ohio in 2005. He is admitted to practice in Ohio and Colorado state courts, as well as United States District Courts. He is an active member of the Ohio State Bar Association, the Ohio Association for Justice and the Cuyahoga Criminal Defense Lawyers Association.

When not in the courtroom, you can usually find Brandon on the golf course, riding his Harley in the summer or searching the country for a mountain to ski in the winter. Brandon is a passionate skier, learning to ski at the age of three, and is a former professional ski instructor. He of course also enjoys spending time with his dog, Cameron.
