Biography

Owner and founding member Brendan Garcia holds an active law license in the State of North Carolina, and is a VA-accredited attorney representing veterans in all 50 states. He is admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for Veterans’ Claims, where he routinely represents claimants who have been denied benefits by the Board of Veterans’ Appeals.

Brendan is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving four years on active duty between 1999 and 2003. He served on two deployments in the Middle East, and has since dedicated his time to serving veterans who have been unable to receive the help they need.

Prior to forming VetLaw, Brendan was an attorney working for the Department of Veterans Affairs in Washington, D.C. He first worked for the Board of Veterans’ Appeals while a student in law school, and then was selected as a Presidential Management Fellow, where was able to work in VA’s Office of General Counsel, Compensation Service (formerly C&P), and the Office of Business and Process Integration.
