Biography

With a background in playing and coaching competitive sports, Brent Powell believes collaboration, effective communication, and teamwork are central to performing at the highest level. Brent prioritizes high levels of transparency and communication with clients, incorporating their goals, concerns, and feedback to formulate effective defense strategies. He prides himself on his ability to work within a team, so his clients see how their interests are being served at each stage of the litigation process.

Brent focuses his practice in the areas of civil defense litigation, with a particular focus in Louisiana Workers’ Compensation defense. He works with insurance carriers, third-party administrators, and employers to navigate the unique system of The Louisiana Office of Workers’ Compensation. Brent also defends clients in premises liability, construction defect, and personal injury cases throughout the State of Louisiana.

A native of Southeast Louisiana, Brent’s roots run deep through the community. He spends his free time coaching baseball and softball players in St. Tammany Parish with a passion for instilling values of hard work, personal accountability, and resiliency in his players both on and off the field.
