Biography

Brett is a Partner in the Estate Planning Group. Brett transitioned into the practice of law from a teaching career. Prior to joining Mullen & Henzell in 2014, he taught Advanced Placement European History, Advanced Placement American Government, and World History and coached Mock Trial at Santa Ynez High School. He also co-authored a series of social studies books and lesson plans through ABC-CLIO Publishers and conducted teacher training workshops at national and state teaching conferences.

After teaching for ten years, Brett attended The College of William & Mary, Marshall-Wythe School of Law for his degree in law, competing on the Moot Court team, serving as Senior Notes Editor on the Bill of Rights Journal, and serving as Editor for the Election Law Society. He also performed three plays with the William & Mary Law Revue acting group.
