Biography

After becoming licensed to practice law in Arkansas, Mr. Butler became a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney with the Saline County Prosecuting Attorney's Office. As a Deputy Prosecutor, Mr. Butler gained significant experience in criminal litigation and general legal assistance. Mr. Butler was responsible for numerous criminal prosecutions in all areas of criminal law to include murder, sex crimes, assault, drug crimes to include possession and distribution, domestic violence, and hot checks. After leaving the Saline County Prosecuting Attorney's Office, Mr. Butler has spent many years practicing law in Benton, Arkansas, where he remains.

Mr. Butler's practice is centered on general civil litigation involving real property. He has litigated several matters involving: foreclosures, lien law, replevins, property line disputes, adverse possession, easements, and legal access to property, quiet title actions, landlord/tenant disputes, and title insurance claims. Mr. Butler also has experience representing property owners' associations, and special improvement districts.

Mr. Butler is very skilled in the area of estate planning including: probate administration and representation, the drafting of wills, trusts, and power of attorneys.

Mr. Butler's history as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney has equipped him with the knowledge base to provide quality representation in the areas of criminal defense. He has tried numerous cases involving felonies, misdemeanors, and DUIs/DWIs.

Currently, the bulk of Mr. Butler's cases come in the area of Family/Juvenile law. Mr. Butler currently represents several clients in divorce, custody, adoption, and guardianship matters. Mr. Butler serves as an Attorney Ad Litem to many juveniles in Dependency/Neglect cases throughout the state. He also serves as Parent's Counsel in Dependency/Neglect cases. Mr. Butler's work in DHS court has provided him with a great amount of experience in this area of the law.
