Brian C. Cruse

Brian Cruse is a member of the firm's Estate Planning and Probate Division, Business and Corporate Division and the Sports and Entertainment Law Management Division. He joined the firm in 2011 after more than twenty years of general practice in a small firm setting where he gained experience in a diverse range of legal matters. While working there, he also developed an expertise in Liquor Permit Laws.


Brian is an AV rated lawyer who received his BA from Ohio Wesleyan University in 1980. After several years of working in the consumer finance industry he earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from the Cleveland State University Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in 1989.

As a life-long resident of the Cleveland area, Brian has been involved in many organizations. Among them, he served on the Board of Trustees and as an Officer of The Cleveland Yachting Club, and was Secretary of the Bay Village Kiwanis. He also spent ten years on the Bay Village City Council with the last six years as City Council President. Brian has also been active in the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life Program and the Northeast Ohio Chapter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. He enjoys martial arts training and boating in his leisure time.
