Mr. Dettman has tried 57 cases through verdict. He has handled thousands of Kentucky personal injury matters and helped recover millions for his clients. Simply put, Brian fights for his client’s interests. He focuses his practice on all things injury including car accidents, truck accidents, motorcycle accidents, wrongful death, products liability. Mr. Dettman also handles slip and fall, catastrophic injury, medical malpractice, insurance bad faith, and consumer rights cases. Brian prides himself on client communication, hard work, and successful results.As a Louisville trial attorney he has the skill, ability, and knowledge to protect your rights.

Past

Mr. Dettman has always represented victims. He is a former felony prosecutor. After leaving the public sector he worked at a Louisville injury firm before beginning work at the Dettman Law Group.

Education and Personal

While in law school at the Stetson University College of Law, Mr. Dettman was a member of the law review, deans list, and honor roll. He worked for a federal judge, interned at the U.S. Department of Veteran’s Affairs, received the highest grade in advanced legal research, and was a summer associate at a fourteen partner personal injury complex litigation law firm. Prior to that Mr. Dettman graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a degree in Political Science. Brian has visited 57 countries and lived in South Africa, Australia, and aboard the M.V. Explorer. When not in the office he is with his wife, two daughters, two foster boys, and two dogs. He enjoys playing ice hockey, Gaelic football, and soccer in local sports leagues, watching the Cards and Bats, and surfing whenever he gets the chance.
