I've been privileged to be asked for the last several years to participate in this high-school level mock trial program as an attorney coach to kids who will - entirely on their own - try real issues before real judges in real courtrooms in Contra Costa County. I have also served on the academy's advisory board. I am constantly impressed by the poise and dedication to task I see in these kids every year. Most have gone on to top-tier universities and several have even gone on to law school. It is not an exaggeration to say the future of the legal profession looks bright, indeed, if kids like these are taking it up!
