Briana is a partner in the Vogel Law Firm's Bismarck office where she devotes the majority of her professional time to litigation. While she has had occasion to work on many general civil litigation matters, her litigation practice today focuses primarily in the areas of medical malpractice defense, insurance defense, generally, and personal injury. As a compliment to her litigation practice, Briana also represents healthcare and other professionals in professional board matters, including administrative actions, and provides advice and counsel to healthcare clients regarding risk management and compliance matters. Briana was named on Super Lawyers Rising Stars List in 2021 and 2022 and is licensed to practice in North Dakota and South Dakota state and federal courts, as well as before the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Briana considers herself fortunate to practice out of Vogel's Bismarck office and in that capacity give back to a community that afforded her many opportunities growing up. Born and raised in Bismarck, Briana graduated from Century High School in 2010 and went on to earn an undergraduate degree in political science from the University of Minnesota in 2013. From there, she attended law school at the University of Nebraska College of Law, graduating in the top five percent of her law school class in May of 2016. While in law school, she served as the Nebraska Law Review's Online Editor, represented the Nebraska College of Law at the 2015 ABA National Client Counseling Competition after winning the regional championship, and was elected to the Order of the Coif. She was also sure to attend every Minnesota-Nebraska football game during her time in Lincoln, sporting her Gopher apparel, of course.
In her personal time, Briana enjoys spending time with her family, including her husband, Klark, their son, Ollie, and dog, Bader. Her crew likes to travel and particularly enjoys summer weekends at the lake and taking full advantage of the snow in the mountains when they are able.
