Bridget Cardinale

Open for Business
Bridget Cardinale: Attorney with Joseph, Greenwald & Laake, P.A.

Biography

Bridget Cardinale practices in civil litigation. Her practice primarily focuses on representing plaintiffs whose civil rights have been violated – often in cases of discrimination by an employer or misconduct by law enforcement.

She also represents plaintiffs who have been harmed by professional negligence or medical malpractice, and has worked in large-scale whistleblower “qui tam” cases brought under the False Claims Act. Bridget’s varied practice gives her unique perspective in adapting to diverse claims in a creative manner across jurisdictions and stages of litigation.

Before moving to the Washington, DC area, Bridget lived in Atlanta, Georgia, where she practiced in the areas of family law and personal injury. These highly litigious fields allowed Bridget to develop robust courtroom experience and negotiation skills at an accelerated rate, while earning the trust of her clients through regular communication and counsel with her clients. Bridget’s workload in Atlanta also involved pro bono representation in juvenile courts, where she served as counsel for children or parents in dependency cases. As a volunteer, she would appear at protective order hearings and be available for immediate representation to petitioners who were in need of protection, but lacked the means to afford an attorney.

While in law school, Bridget served as a contributing writer and editor for Wake Forest Law Review, and served clients via multiple school-sponsored clinics, including the Microtrade Development Clinic, where she had the opportunity to advise international vendor clients in Spanish about the legal requirements associated with forming and developing their family businesses.
