Biography

Ms. Forrest joined Ryan Smith & Carbine’s Workers’ Compensation practice in 2023. Ms. Forrest’s practice consists of representing institutions and employers in the defense of workers’ compensation matters. Ms. Forrest began her legal career practicing family law, where she gained experience advocating for clients in mediation, drafting pleadings and contracts, conducting discovery, and preparing for hearings. Ms. Forrest was a member of the accelerated JD program at Vermont Law and Graduate School, where she earned her JD in two years, earned two academic excellence awards, and qualified to take the bar exam after her fifth semester of law school. Ms. Forrest gained experience working as a student clinician at the Environmental Advocacy Clinic at Vermont Law and Graduate School and finished her last semester as a full-time student extern at a general practice law firm in Colorado.
