Biography

Brittney Bullock Ankersen is a trial-focused defense attorney representing insurers, manufacturers, and transportation companies in high-exposure product liability, insurance coverage, and complex commercial litigation throughout Louisiana and Mississippi. Her practice concentrates on toxic tort and asbestos litigation, catastrophic injury defense, multi-party indemnity and allocation disputes, and coverage and bad-faith matters, with a strategic emphasis on early venue control and federal jurisdiction strategy.

With more than 12 years of litigation experience, Brittney has served as first or second chair in more than 75 civil jury trials and regularly leads litigation teams in the development of case strategy, discovery architecture, and dispositive motion practice. She has acted as national coordinating counsel in multi-jurisdictional matters, overseeing regional counsel, aligning carrier strategy, and managing exposure across parallel state and federal proceedings. Her track record includes securing dismissals, summary judgments, and early resolutions in complex, high-stakes matters involving manufacturer and supplier liability, toxic exposure claims, transportation defense, and insurance coverage disputes.

Brittney is a frequent presenter to national and regional claims organizations on third-party liability, workers’ compensation subrogation, and indemnity strategy. She is an active member of the Louisiana and Mississippi State Bar Associations, the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel, the Federal Bar Association, Defense Research Institute (DRI), and the CLM Alliance. She has been recognized by Super Lawyers as a Rising Star and named a Top Products Liability Lawyer and a Top Woman Lawyer in New Orleans.
