Bruce W. Robinett

Bruce W. Robinett of Bartlesville, Oklahoma died on May 1, 2024. He was born February 18, 1943, in rural Garfield County, and learned his hard-working ways by working on the farm from an early age. Mr. Robinett graduated from OSU with a B.S. degree in Agricultural Economics (in 3years), and received his law degree from O.U. in 1967, graduating 3rd in his class.

While attending law school he was a member of the Board of Editors, Oklahoma Law Review, 1965-1967, a member of Phi Delta Phi legal fraternity, and Order of the Coif. Upon graduating, Mr. Robinett moved his young family to Bartlesville, Oklahoma, and joined Chester A. Brewer and Jesse J. Worten, Jr. in the law firm established by Mr. Brewer in 1928, and now commonly known as “Robinett | King.”

He quickly established himself as a preeminent attorney in the areas of oil and gas, estate planning, commercial transactions, agricultural law, and commercial litigation. Known for his sharp writing and quick wit, Bruce had a well-earned reputation for “getting the deal done.” AV-rated by Martindale Hubbell for over 40 years, he was selected as a “Super Lawyer” for estate planning, was a long serving Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, and was recognized by clients and attorneys alike as the lawyer to see if buying/selling a ranch “in the Osage.” Bruce served his community of Bartlesville in various civil organizations and as a Trustee for the Lyons Foundation and Parsons Foundation.

He cannot be replaced and will be sorely missed both by his firm, family, and the Oklahoma legal community.
