Education and Legal Background:

Bryan's legal journey began with a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Seattle University in 1998. He continued his academic pursuits and earned a Master's degree in Public Policy from Rutgers University in 2000, where he was recognized as an Eagleton Fellow to the Eagleton Institute of Politics. In 2012, Bryan earned his Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the University of Oregon, where he also received a Statement of Completion in the Criminal Practice Program. During law school, Bryan's commitment to military service was honored when he was chosen as a Tillman Military Scholar by the Pat Tillman Foundation.

Throughout his legal career, Bryan has demonstrated his dedication to criminal defense and trial advocacy. He has represented clients facing a wide range of criminal charges in Oregon's federal, state, and municipal courts. Bryan's comprehensive knowledge and experience have enabled him to handle some of the most serious high-profile crimes, such as "Measure 11" and "Jessica's Law" charges.

Bryan is well-versed in conducting code defense and criminal defense for university students. He has represented students facing serious conduct code violations, including Title IX violations involving sexual harassment, misconduct, and violence. Often, these cases involve simultaneous off-campus criminal charges, and Bryan effectively defends students facing such complex situations.

Combat Veteran and Advocate:

Bryan's commitment to service extends beyond the legal field. As a combat veteran and former paratrooper, he served in the U.S. Army with the 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division. Bryan's dedication to supporting veterans and refugees is evident through his role as a founder of Oregon's first Free Legal Clinic for Veterans, where more than 1,500 veterans have received free legal services.

Bryan remains dedicated to honing his skills as a criminal defense attorney through continued education and training. He has completed the Trial Practice Institute at the National Criminal Defense College and the National College of Capital Voir Dire, enhancing his ability to provide exceptional representation to his clients.
