Caitlin Lyta Gemmill

Caitlin graduated with honors from Boston University School of Law, where she concentrated in Litigation and Dispute Resolution and served as the Executive Editor of the Public Interest Law Journal. Caitlin also graduated with honors from the University of Colorado at Boulder, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.

Prior to joining Nathan Dumm & Mayer, Caitlin spent eleven years as criminal prosecutor for the largest county in New England. During her time as an Assistant District Attorney, Caitlin prosecuted hundreds of criminal cases and led dozens of investigations into major felonies. Caitlin tried over fifty jury trials as first chair prosecutor and regularly worked on complex investigations, including homicides, human trafficking, serious domestic violence, and gang-related crime.

A native Coloradan, Caitlin is excited to join the Denver area legal community. Caitlin’s practice now focuses on representing governmental entities in litigation matters, including malicious prosecution suits, civil rights lawsuits, employment-related claims, and insurance defense litigation. She also assists with construction defect lawsuits, personal injury, and land use disputes. Caitlin is admitted to practice law before the United States Federal Court – District of Colorado, the State of Colorado, and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
