Biography

CAMERON M. KENNEDY joined Searcy Denney Scarola Barnhart & Shipley PA in 2011. Mr. Kennedy handles cases involving catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death. He has been recognized by Florida Trend magazine as a “Legal Elite.” Mr. Kennedy has also been recognized by Florida Super Lawyers in 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2014 as a “Rising Star” in the area of personal injury law representing a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement for his work as a trial lawyer. Mr. Kennedy primarily focuses his practice on personal injury and wrongful death cases involving unsafe and dangerous products, automobile and semi truck accident, insurance claims and medical negligence. Mr. Kennedy has obtained numerous multi-million dollar settlements and jury verdicts on behalf of injured clients. An aggressive advocate for the rights of victims to pursue justice in the courts, Mr. Kennedy is an EAGLE member of the Florida Justice Association and has been honored for his work and advocacy in protecting the civil justice system for his clients. He was appointed to the FJA Board of Directors in 2009 and has been elected to the Board of Directors each year since his appointment. In 2010 and 2012 he was honored with the FJA’s Shoe Leather Award for dedicated and effective contributions on behalf of FJA’s legislative efforts. Mr. Kennedy frequently writes and lectures about civil trial practice, personal injury and wrongful death litigation. Mr. Kennedy is also a member of the American Association for Justice, the American Bar Association, the American Inns of Court, the Florida Bar Association, and the Tallahassee Bar Association. He was one of the youngest trial lawyers to be awarded membership in the Million Dollar Advocates Forum – The Top Trial Lawyers in America. A third generation Tallahassee native and a fourth generation Floridian, Mr. Kennedy earned both his undergraduate and law degrees from The Florida State University. While attending law school, he had the distinction of serving as president of The Florida State University College of Law Mock Trial Program. Since graduation, he has remained active as an advisor and volunteer with the law school. Mr. Kennedy also volunteers with North Florida Legal Services and the Guardian Ad Litem Program.
