Biography

Don C. King recently founded King Military Law after dedicating nearly thirty years to the military, with twenty-four years spent practicing military law. He began his career in the Marine Corps as an infantryman, providing security for U.S. Embassies worldwide and augmenting Secret Service details for high-profile officials. After his honorable discharge, Don attended college and law school in Oregon, utilizing his GI Bill. He returned to active duty in 1996 as a Navy Judge Advocate, where he achieved notable success, including winning an acquittal for a Sailor charged with murder at his first duty station.

Throughout his career, Don has held various positions relevant to military criminal law, serving as both prosecutor and defense counsel. He has litigated hundreds of cases, including high-profile ones, and has played a vital role in training military defense counsel through the Navy’s Defense Counsel Assistance Program. An esteemed leader, Don has received recognition for his unique skills and success in military justice litigation. In addition to his legal practice, he actively engages with his community through pro bono work for veterans and as a judge for mock trial competitions, ensuring he continues to support those in need.
