Care Hoye Enichen

Care Enichen boasts a distinguished legal career marked by her appointment as a county court judge in Boulder back in 1995, where she diligently served for fifteen years. Prior to her judgeship, she held the position of traffic magistrate for one year and diligently served as a deputy district attorney for seven years.

During her tenure as a judge, Care presided over a multitude of hearings and jury trials, handling a wide spectrum of cases ranging from DUIs, traffic offenses, misdemeanors, to felony preliminary hearings. She also adjudicated civil matters, including protection order cases, landlord/tenant disputes, and various civil disputes. Her time as a magistrate was characterized by overseeing primarily traffic and misdemeanor cases, with occasional rotations as a domestic relations magistrate. In her role as a district attorney, Care skillfully prosecuted misdemeanor offenses, juvenile petitions, and felony cases.

Care's legal practice today encompasses both criminal and family law cases. Her expertise spans DUIs, misdemeanors, juvenile matters, and felony cases. In the realm of domestic relations, particularly divorce cases, Care skillfully handles everything from the initial filing to post-decree matters.

She earned her J.D. degree from the University of Georgia School of Law and holds a B.A. in sociology from Miami University of Ohio.

For over three decades, Care has been a proud resident of Boulder. In her leisure time, she enjoys running, skiing, hiking, and cycling, sharing these interests with her family. Furthermore, both Care and her daughter actively engage in volunteering for a local charity organization, underscoring their commitment to giving back to the community.
