Striving to give her clients her closest personal attention, Carolyn Geoghegan maintains a high level of communication. She takes the time to involve and collaborate with her clients to incorporate their goals and feedback so they can see how their interests are being served at every stage of the litigation process.

With more than 20 years of experience advocating for her clients, Carolyn provides advice and counsel to businesses, professionals, individuals, and insurers - with a focus on defending complex liability and medical issues. Carolyn’s extensive experience defending clients in challenging disputes, such as claims based on negligence and gross negligence, product defect, breach of warranty, and contract and property issues, gives her clients a real advantage. She also provides advice and representation for insurance carriers in complex insurance coverage disputes, policy interpretation, and the application of exclusions.

Born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, Carolyn enjoys spending time with her family and friends, cooking, and traveling. She is also an avid St. Louis Blues fan.

Reported Cases:
Representative Matters: Obtained a Judgment in favor of her client, an apartment development owner, following a bench trial in St. Louis County Circuit Court where the plaintiff asserted allegations of breach of implied warranty of habitability, nuisance, intentional infliction of emotional distresses, and constructive eviction. The court granted our motions to dismiss the claims of nuisance and intentional infliction of emotional distress, and ruled in our favor on the remaining two counts.; Obtained a dismissal with prejudice in favor of her client, a governmental entity, based on a statute of limitations dispute, in the Circuit Court of St. Clair County, Illinois.; Negotiated an excellent settlement for her client, an equine instructor, for less than 20% of the initial claim. The plaintiff, whose claims fell outside the protection of the Equine Liability Act, sustained serious injuries after being thrown from a horse and alleged negligence and other acts against our client.
