Biography

Cary Dohman obtained his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and graduated cum laude from The John Marshall Law School. For every year from 2017 to 2021, Cary has been named as one of the "10 Best Attorneys" in Illinois in DUI/DWI Defense by the American Institute of DUI/DWI Attorneys. In each of the five past years (2017-2021), Cary has also been selected as a "Rising Star" by SuperLawyers, an honor given to less than 3% of attorneys in Illinois. Cary focuses his attention on DUI defense and traffic violations. He is a member of the Chicago Bar Association, the Illinois Bar Association, the Northwest Suburban Bar Association and the DuPage County Bar Association. Prior to joining the Dohman Law Group, Cary was a Law Clerk for Watt, Tieder, Hoffar and Fitzgerald in Chicago. He also worked as a Judicial Extern for the Honorable Ann Claire Williams of the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit and the Honorable William J. Haddad of the Circuit Court of Cook County. While in law school, he also served as a Law Clerk for the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office.
