Casey M. Hughes is a Partner at Martin Clearwater & Bell LLP. Focusing her practice on the defense of medical malpractice and general liability matters, she represents doctors, hospitals, healthcare systems, and various other medical professionals against a wide variety of claims.

Prior to her promotion to Partner, Casey served as a Senior Associate at the Firm. Earlier in her career, she worked for several years as an ultrasound technologist, registered with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography. This firsthand clinical experience provides her with a unique perspective and a keen understanding of the medical complexities inherent in her defense work. During law school, Casey was the Senior Associate Editor for the Journal of Civil Rights and Economic Development, a legal intern at several personal injury defense and plaintiff firms, and a volunteer with the Legal Aid Society of Nassau County.
