Casey is a
Jacksonville native, and graduate of the University of Florida, having received
his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration - Finance from the
Warrington College of Business, and his Juris Doctor form the Levin College of
Law. Casey was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2008, and began his legal career
as an Assistant State Attorney. Casey was a partner at a well-respected
boutique commercial litigation firm in Jacksonville prior to joining Fisher,
Tousey, Lease & Ball as Shareholder in 2018.
Casey is an
experienced trial lawyer who has handled a number of jury trials, non-jury
trials and evidentiary hearings. Casey focuses his practice in all areas of
trust, guardianship and probate disputes, real property disputes, disputes
involving fiduciaries, and business and commercial litigation. In addition to
handling litigation needs for clients, Casey regularly advises clients on
dispute resolution matters, and often works with other Fisher Tousey attorneys
to provide litigation expertise and counsel in an effort to best protect the
interests of clients.
Casey is a
Barrister in the Chester Bedell American Inn of Court, a 2016 graduate of
Leadership St. Johns, and a board member of the Rotary Club of St. Johns. His
peers have recognized Casey for his skill, and he is rated AV Preeminent by
Martindale-Hubble, and has been recognized by Super Lawyers Magazine as a
Rising Star in 2018.
Casey
is an active member of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section of the
Florida Bar, and is on the Probate and Trust Litigation Committee, Probate Law
and Procedure Committee, and Guardianship & Advanced Directives
Committee. Casey has also been selected as a participant in Class V of the
Florida Fellows Institute of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel
(ACTEC).
Casey is married
to Sarah Arnold and they have four children, Audrey, Anderson, Ella Blake, and
Ophelia. Casey lives in St. Augustine, Florida. Casey enjoys playing with his
kids, Gator football, playing golf, cooking, working on cars, paddle boarding
and fishing.
