Celia E. Landgren is an associate with Venable's Business Transactions Practice. Ms. Landgren represents hospitals, physicians, physician practices, long-term care facilities, laboratories, pharmaceutical manufacturers, insurers and other health care providers. Her practice focuses primarily on federal and state regulatory and compliance issues, including Medicare fraud and abuse; health care licensure, certification and accreditation; medical staff and credentialing matters; reimbursement; HIPAA, HITECH and state privacy laws; and general corporate governance, including preparation of bylaws and policies. Ms. Landgren also represents clients in the education sector, including independent schools, on matters involving employment; governance; and the safety, welfare and discipline of students. During law school, Ms. Landgren was a legal intern with the Johns Hopkins Hospital Legal Department and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Office of the General Counsel. She graduated with a concentration in Health Law from the Law and Health Care Program at the University of Maryland School of Law. Ms. Landgren serves on the Board of Directors of the Star-Spangled Banner Flag House in Baltimore, Maryland. She also serves as the President of the Baltimore Chapter of the Washington and Lee Alumni Association.
