Chanel Mendoza: Attorney with Truce Law, PLLC

Biography

Chanel Mendoza focuses her family law practice on helping parents and children through transitions that are as emotional as they are legal. She was drawn to the profession early, and family law quickly became the place where she felt she could make the greatest day-to-day difference. Chanel is known for a client-first approach that combines empathy with careful strategy. She takes time to understand the full picture, then offers guidance that is practical, clear, and tailored to the client’s goals. Chanel also values precision and follow-through, believing that strong, thoughtful work builds trust, reduces stress, and supports the entire team working on a case. She earned undergraduate degrees in Communication and later her Juris Doctor, bringing strong communication skills to every client conversation. Outside of work, Chanel enjoys teaching, cooking, crafting, and getting outside to enjoy Washington’s scenery. She often returns to a favorite Mark Twain quote, “The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why” as a reminder to lead with purpose. For Chanel, that purpose is helping families move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and a sense of a fresh start.
