Biography

Chase Tajima is the managing partner of Tajima LLP, a California-based law firm focused on business litigation and complex commercial disputes. He represents business owners, executives, and companies in high-stakes matters involving partnership disputes, corporate control, trade secrets, and financial claims.

Mr. Tajima has successfully guided clients through all phases of litigation, from pre-suit strategy through trial, arbitration, and appeal. His experience includes securing dispositive wins, obtaining injunctive relief in urgent business disputes, and achieving significant settlements and arbitration awards in complex commercial matters.

His representative results include dismissing claims against a company CEO in a corporate control dispute, obtaining substantial arbitration awards, and resolving high-exposure litigation through strategic counterclaims and negotiation. He has also achieved a U.S. Tax Court trial victory involving multimillion-dollar IRS assessments.

Before founding the firm (formerly Trépanier Tajima LLP), Mr. Tajima practiced in Los Angeles and Honolulu, where he handled complex litigation, real estate transactions, and tax-related matters. He co-authored the Limited Liability Company Manual for the Hawaii State Bar Association and served as a vice chair of its tax section.

Mr. Tajima earned his J.D. from Loyola Law School with First Honors and his LL.M. in Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center with distinction. He began his career in international business consulting and previously served as a Capitol Hill intern.
