Biography

Chauncey Shao is an associate at IPO Pang Xingpu Law firm. He received his his law degree from Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST). He studied law in both Mainland China and in Macau at MUST Law school. During his undergraduate education, Mr. Shao published two academic papers in international open-access journals and won first prize in the International Criminal Court Moot Court Competition. Additionally, Mr. Shao was also recognized as an outstanding debater while in law school. Apart from his academic achievements, Mr. Shao interned at two other nationally recognized law firms in Shanghai as well as serving as a court clerk at a local court in Jiangsu Province prior to joining IPO Pang Xingpu.

After graduating from MUST law school, Mr. Shao was admitted to the University of Cambridge and attained his Master of Laws degree (LL.M.). He specialized in commercial law at the Cambridge Law School. Mr. Shao is also a certified anti-money laundering specialist (CAMS) conferred by the International Anti-money Laundering Association in 2019. Mr. Shao is fluent in both English and Chinese. At the Firm, Mr. Shao focuses his law practice on corporate and commercial law, including litigation, M&A and white collar criminal defense.
