Biography

Cheryl Alsandor earned her J.D. at the University of Houston Law Center in 1998. While a law student, Ms. Alsandor worked in the University of Houston's Legal Aid Clinic providing legal services to indigent clients.

Cheryl earned a B.A. in Economics in her undergraduate studies at Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut. Prior to attending Wesleyan, she attended Northfield Mt. Hermon School in Northfield, Massachusetts.

Cheryl is board certified in family law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. She is currently a member of the Family Law and Law Practice Management Sections of the State Bar of Texas. She is also a member of the Burta Rhodes Raborn Family Law American Inn of Court. She is also a mediator and a part-time judge for the City of Houston (2009 – present).

She is a former court-appointed volunteer of Child Advocates. She is also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.

Cheryl Alsandor is family oriented and likes to spend time with her family when she is not working for her clients.

Prior to practicing law, she taught elementary students for four years in both the Houston Independent School District and the Fort Bend Independent School District.
