Ms. Cheyenne Chong Van Leeuwen: Attorney with Marshall & Taylor PLLC

Biography

Though born and raised in Fayetteville, North Carolina, Cheyenne has considered the Raleigh/Durham area home since she left Fayetteville after high school. Cheyenne’s mother works in the IT field at Fayetteville Technical Community College (FTCC) and her father is retired Army. She attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 2011 to 2015, earning her B.A. in English, with a second major in Political Science. Instead of taking a gap year, Cheyenne immediately went on to attend law school at North Carolina Central University School of Law. While in law school, Cheyenne was on trial advocacy team all three years, holding positions as the Treasurer and Vice-Chair of the Trial Advocacy Board. Additionally, she served as President of the Death Penalty Project.

After graduating law school in 2018, Cheyenne began her law career by first doing document review before moving into the world of residential real estate closings. However, family law is her passion and is what she has always wanted to dedicate her practice to. Cheyenne personally understands how stressful, emotional, and tiring family law can be, so she is passionate about helping individuals and families through the whole process.

Cheyenne currently lives in Raleigh, North Carolina with her boyfriend, Adam. When she’s not working, you can find her at the gym, spending time with her friends and family, or furiously searching the internet for a new recipe to try her hand at.
