Christa M. Hazlett

Christa Hazlett represents clients in high-stakes medical malpractice matters and a wide range of employment disputes. Her employment practice includes defending claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful discharge, and breach of contract, as well as providing steady, practical counsel to employers navigating day-to-day workplace issues. She works closely with management teams to help prevent litigation by advising on compliance with anti-discrimination and disability laws, drafting and updating employment policies and procedures, guiding discipline and performance issues, and preparing separation and other employment agreements. Ms. Hazlett also brings meaningful experience in personal injury, wrongful death, and business litigation, which allows her to approach each case with a broader understanding of how liability, damages, and business concerns intersect. Before joining Conklin, Woodcock, Ziegler & Hazlett, P.C., she was a Shareholder and Director at Keleher & McLeod. She also previously practiced federal employment and labor law at the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development in Washington, D.C., providing a strong foundation in the regulatory and compliance issues employers regularly face.
