Biography

Christian M. Coyne joined WOH in April of 2025. Mr. Coyne brings nearly a decade of experience representing a diverse portfolio of clients, from early-stage startups to global financial institutions, in complex corporate transactions, mergers and acquisitions, venture capital deals, and general corporate matters. Prior to joining Whiteman Osterman & Hanna, he built a successful legal practice in San Francisco focused on advising startups and growth-stage businesses.

Mr. Coyne has deep expertise in the emerging companies space, representing both investors and companies, including debt and equity financings, mergers and acquisitions and advising companies and their boards on a variety of legal matters. His wide-ranging experience enables him to provide practical, solution-oriented advice tailored to businesses at every stage of growth.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Coyne previously served as Counsel at O’Melveny & Myers LLP. He began his legal career at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP prior to serving as a senior associate at Hogan Lovells US LLP.

Professional/Community

Mr. Coyne currently serves on the Board of Directors for Shelters of Saratoga.

Background/Education

Mr. Coyne earned his Juris Doctor from Duke University School of Law in 2016. He graduated summa cum laude from the State University at Albany with his B.A. in Philosophy.

In his free time, he enjoys playing basketball, writing music, reading and being outdoors.
