Personal Information
Mr. Shippee, an Army brat, was born in Fort Campbell Army
Hospital in Fort Campbell, Kentucky. After scoring well on the ASVAB, his
father asked him to break their family’s tradition of joining the military and,
instead, go to college and “become a lawyer or something.” After completing
undergraduate studies in History and Political Science at Texas Tech
University, he graduated from the University of Texas School of Law with honors
in 2001. He then served a two-year federal clerkship with the Honorable Chief
Judge Roger Vinson of the United States District Court for the Northern
District of Pensacola before moving into private practice in 2003.
Today, Christian and his wife, Amy, live in Fate, Texas, with
their five children: Joshua, Sarah, Caleb, Jonah, and Tabitha.
