Biography

Christina Cicconi Backus is a Partner in the firm’s West Palm Beach Office. Her practice focuses on the defense of complex personal injury claims, wrongful death, and professional malpractice. In this work, Ms. Backus has successfully handled numerous cases requiring extra sensitivity, but aggressive litigation, to defend firm clients. This includes matters involving catastrophic injuries to children and high profile matters involving celebrity litigants. In her time with the firm, Christina has successfully second-chaired several trials, including a complex, multi-million dollar case involving the alleged abuse of a minor.

Christina obtained her Bachelor of Science degree with honors from Boston University in 2006. She then attended the University of Miami where she graduated cum laude with her Juris Doctor in 2009. Prior to joining Cole, Scott & Kissane, Christina was a felony prosecutor in Miami-Dade County, where she gained extensive trial experience and comfortability in the courtroom.
