Biography

Christina Behm litigates in state and federal courts for people who experienced life-altering complications allegedly caused by defective medical devices. Additionally, Christina works with individuals and families harmed by mesothelioma and other diseases resulting from asbestos exposure.

Christina represents hernia mesh patients in multidistrict litigation In re Atrium Medical Corp. C-QUR Mesh Products Liability Litigation and the consolidated Rhode Island state court action In re Davol/C.R. Bard Hernia Mesh Multi-Case Management Coordination. She also represents hernia mesh patients with lawsuits filed in Massachusetts State Court against Covidien, LP.

In addition to her medical device work, she is involved in multidistrict litigation for victims who suffered various health complications after taking GPL-1 RA drugs such as Ozempic and Wegovy . She also represents children injured by lead poisoning against property owners as a well as individuals suffering catastrophic occupation injuries.

Christina began her career with Motley Rice as a law clerk in 2017, providing support to the medical device litigation team and various other trial teams through legal research, writing, and discovery. Christina was also a part of the team that filed litigation for dozens of governmental entities, including states, cities, towns, counties and townships against opioid manufacturers and distributors alleged to have played a role in the opioid crisis.

Prior to joining Motley Rice, Christina completed a judicial externship for Judge Daniel A. Procaccini of the Rhode Island Superior Court and interned with the Rhode Island Department of Attorney General. In law school, Christina was a member of the Honor Board, Student Ambassador, and President of the Student Animal Legal Defense Fund.

Christina currently serves on the Board of Governors for the Rhode Island Association for Justice. In her spare time, she volunteers with Ten Lives Cat Rescue, 501(c)(3), nonprofit organization located in Rhode Island.
