Christine Freer: Attorney with Galloway, Johnson, Tompkins, Burr & Smith

Biography

Christine Freer believes that in addition to procuring desired outcomes for clients, a key to being a successful litigator is effective communication. She understands the importance of listening to her clients, recognizing their expectations, and keeping them thoroughly informed at every step of the litigation process.

Christine’s practice is focused on general liability and casualty litigation for primary carriers, including claims for construction defects, admiralty and maritime issues, contracts and first-party insurance disputes, homeowners’ insurance claims and insurance bad faith claims. She regularly defends general contractors, roofers, suppliers and HVAC contractors in construction defect litigation. She also represents contractors in property damage litigation. In addition, Christine represents professionals, including attorneys, in professional liability allegations and claims.

Prior to joining the firm, Christine served as an Assistant Public Defender in Miami-Dade County, Florida, where she litigated more than 15 jury and bench trials and countless evidentiary hearings to protect her clients’ constitutional rights. This experience has provided her with not only the ability to try a matter to verdict or obtain a pre-trial resolution, but also to advise her clients on the benefits and risks of each option.

Christine loves animals and regularly participates in the Walk for Animals and Humane Society programs.
