Biography

Christoffer J. Thomsen joined Schlecht, Shevlin & Shoenberger, A Law Corporation in 2005, and became a shareholder in 2013. Chris focuses his practice in the areas of real estate transactions and litigation, including cases involving Native American land law (development, leasing and sales) and the Bureau of Indian Affairs. He also represents clients in a wide variety of business law matters, in addition to providing knowledgeable counsel for estate planning, trusts, and probate matters.

Chris received his Bachelor of Science degree in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Arizona in 2001. He subsequently attended the University of Arizona, James E. Rogers College of Law, earning his Juris Doctor degree with honors in 2005. He is admitted to practice law in all state courts in California and the U.S. District court for the Central District of California.

Chris is a past President of the Desert Bar Association and also past Chair of the Desert Bar Association Fee Arbitration Program. Chris is the Secretary/Treasurer of the Warren Slaughter- Richard Roemer Inn of Court, an organization of lawyers and judges whose mission is to raise the levels of civility, professionalism, and ethics in the legal profession.

Like all of the attorneys at Schlecht, Shevlin & Shoenberger, Chris strives to build strong, long-term relationships with his clients. Many of Chris’s clients regularly seek his advice and counsel across all of his areas of practice, and Chris draws on his broad transactional and litigation experience to develop strategies and identify issues across his areas of expertise.
