Biography

Christopher Banuelos is a highly experienced attorney specializing in family law and holds the designation of Certified Family Law Specialist. With nearly 15 years of practice in the field, Mr. Banuelos has focused exclusively on family law litigation since being admitted to the State Bar in 2008. He obtained his law degree from Santa Clara University School of Law and has worked as a Senior Associate Attorney for reputable family law and civil litigation firms in San Jose and San Diego before co-founding PLBK.

Mr. Banuelos possesses extensive knowledge of all aspects of family law, particularly in complex financial issues, business valuation, custody and visitation, and domestic violence matters. He has handled numerous high-asset and high-net-worth cases, representing clients ranging from Silicon Valley startups to established leaders in the tech industry.

Before pursuing his legal career, Mr. Banuelos earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of California, San Diego. He has been recognized for his legal expertise and achievements, having been named a Rising Star Honoree by Super Lawyers® in 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022. He was also elected to the Board of Directors for the San Diego Family Law Bar Association for a three-year term from 2023 to 2025.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Mr. Banuelos enjoys spending time outdoors and engaging in various activities with his wife and daughter. He is also an avid golfer and looks forward to teaching his toddler how to play.
