Christopher James Jenkins

Christopher is a 2012 graduate of the Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, where he was awarded a Juris Doctor of Civil Law. He also completed his International Law Certificate. While in school, he worked at the Advocacy Center for Elderly and Disabled Citizens, focusing on ADA compliance and accommodations for school age children. His undergraduate studies were done at Southeastern Louisiana University, where he was a member of Theta Chi Fraternity.

Upon passing the bar and being sworn in, Christopher was hired as Judicial Law Clerk for Chief Judge Adam J. Haney at the East Baton Rouge Parish Juvenile Court. While working at Juvenile Court, he learned firsthand the intricacies of the adoption process. He also worked closely with the Family Court on matters regarding custody and other family law related issues. After spending time learning all that he could from Judge Haney, Christopher entered into private practice.

With a passion to help others, Christopher was drawn to the adoption arena, wanting to help make families whole and see children's lives improved. His first intrafamily adoption filed was the adoption of his youngest stepson, and his first private adoption filed was the adoption of his goddaughter. Adoption has been an important part of his personal life. He knows the adoption process inside and out, and will give the same care and attention to your case as he did to his own.
