Biography

Chris Skinner is a litigation associate in the Memphis office of Reifers Holmes & Peters LLC. He concentrates his practice on civil defense litigation for the firm’s railroad clients but possesses a broad range of legal experience in cases and disputes related to personal injury, breach of contract, estate administration, employment discrimination, entertainment and intellectual property, as well as various appellate matters. Chris assists clients in navigating complex cases and achieving favorable outcomes through trial advocacy and alternative dispute resolution.

A Memphis native, Chris graduated from the University of Mississippi in 2008 with a degree in Managerial Finance, after which he obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of Mississippi School of law in 2011. While in law school, he independently pursued and secured publication of An Obligation to Live, a law review article on the concept of volunteerism on death row, which has since become part of the legal academic record and cited by subsequent publications. Outside of work, Chris enjoys songwriting, staying active, and proudly showing off his dog, Lula.
