Christopher Johnson

The best description for Christopher Johnson is compassionate and experienced. With over 30 years of working in the criminal justice system, Chris understands how the system works. Inside information is good. As a former prosecutor and now a criminal defense attorney, Chris has a unique and varied perspective that most lawyers do not and never will have. This perspective, know-how and the depth of the SPOE Criminal Law Team are what get things done for our clients. Chris has a reputation for being a strong advocate who treats people well. How about this: people that were once prosecuted by Chris have now hired him to represent them. This speaks volumes about Chris’ character as both a lawyer and a person.

A native of Springfield, Minnesota, Chris earned his Bachelors of Arts Degree from St. Olaf College and his Juris Doctorate from William Mitchell College of Law. He is married and has three daughters. He is active in his church. He has coached youth basketball, softball and volleyball and has served on the girls youth basketball board. He also enjoys playing golf – most of the time.
