"The reason I became an attorney was, and still is, to help people. Family law gives me the opportunity to bring a resolution to an often-difficult valley in life and try to bring harmony where there is discord.
My job as your family law attorney is to assess your situation, talk to you about reasonable expectations, and try to achieve your goals by agreement. However, if a contested hearing in court is required, I will be overly prepared to advocate for you with a personal goal to exceed your expectations.
After representing hundreds of family law clients, I have the experience and knowledge to assess each case and formulate a plan to strive to achieve my clients’ wishes."
Chris joined the Beal Law Firm in June of 2023. Prior to joining BLF, Chris had a 24-year legal career, practicing family law, as well as criminal defense, personal injury, and civil work. These areas provided Chris the real-life experience, from the beginning of his career, to step inside a courtroom, be prepared, and zealously advocate to a judge or jury on behalf of his clients. He has first-chaired thousands of contested hearings, contempt hearings, bench trials, and jury trials, and has enjoyed considerable success in the courtroom. He firmly believes that preparation, especially for worst-case scenarios, produces a confident, sincere, and eloquent litigator.
After graduating from North Mesquite High School, Chris attended Stephen F. Austin University in Nacogdoches. Deciding that a legal career would enable him to help others, Chris completed his bachelor’s degree in English with a goal to attend law school.
After graduating from SFA, Chris was accepted into Texas Tech University School of Law, a school highly focused on the litigation side of practicing law. He participated in mock trials, moot court, and won the prestigious Jurisprudence award for Constitutional Law his first year.
Upon graduation from law school, Chris was an associate attorney at Minor & Jester for approximately two years. Then, Chris “hung a shingle” and was the owner of his own law firm for 17 years, helping thousands of clients. While practicing at his firm, Chris was honored to be awarded a Best of Denton County award three times for his legal services. Chris gained further experience as a litigation attorney while working as an associate attorney at James H. Horton Law Firm.
Outside of work, Chris enjoys cooking, traveling, attending concerts, movies, bowling, playing guitar and singing with friends. He and his wife, Shannon, have been married for almost 20 years and are the proud parents of the cutest fur babies on Earth, Maggie and Mitzi.
