Biography

Christopher DeCosta is an experienced trial lawyer with litigation experience in the areas of real estate, mortgage lending, construction, architect/engineer liability and general commercial liability. He formerly served as a senior associate at two different Boston litigation firms, where he represented business clients in complex litigation in state and Federal court in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Previously, he was chief counsel for the Florida Division of Real Estate, the Florida agency that regulates real estate brokers and appraisers.

Attorney DeCosta is a graduate of Florida State University and University of Florida Levin College of Law and is licensed to practice law in the state courts of Florida, Massachusetts, New York and Rhode Island. In addition, he is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court, Middle District of Florida, District of Massachusetts and District of Rhode Island.

Attorney DeCosta recently authored the article "U.S. Bank v. Ibanez: The Mortgage Industry's Documentation Practices in Focus" published in the Spring 2011 issue of The Boston Bar Journal.
