Christopher M. Cerami

Christopher M. Cerami: Attorney with Willinger, Willinger & Bucci, P.C.

Biography

In 2025, Christopher Cerami was formally recognized as one of Connecticut’s Top 40 Plaintiff’s Attorney’s under 40 years old.

Christopher Cerami advocates on behalf of people who have suffered physical injuries to obtain the compensation necessary to treat their injuries and rebuild their lives and tirelessly defends the rights of those involved in the criminal justice system.

Since joining the firm in 2019, Chris has fiercely advocated on behalf of his clients and is always willing to take the matter to trial when necessary. In the past two years alone, Chris has participated in many jury trials, several bench trials, and countless individual hearings. Chris is driven by his strong belief that clients are entitled to be heard before a judge and jury as the Constitution demands.

Chris has successfully negotiated settlements totaling millions of dollars for his clients over the years. He recently won an award of over $3,000,000 for a client whose husband perished as a result of the negligent operation of a motor vehicle. Chris also successfully obtained a defense verdict after a bench trial on behalf of a tenant whose landlord was seeking more than $90,000.00 based on the tenant allegedly breaking her lease and damaging the landlord’s property. It is of note that he also convinced the State’s Attorney to drop criminal charges filed against the tenant based on a claim by the landlord that certain items within the home were stolen by the tenant

Born in Bethpage, NY, Chris and his family moved to Orange, Connecticut, where he completed his early education. Chris graduated from the University of New Haven, Magna cum laude, and attended the University of Connecticut School of Law, where he honed his defense skills in the criminal law clinic.

Upon graduation from the University of Connecticut Law School, Chris opened a solo practice in New Haven, Connecticut. From the beginning, Chris prided himself on finding a way to help clients that other lawyers had given up on.

Outside of the office, Chris has always had a passion for performance arts and contributed to his educational expenses, performing standup comedy at various venues across the state, including a fundraising event for the New Haven County Bar Association. Chris spends his free time on his passions, including classic films, listening to vinyl records, and historical non-fiction.
