Biography

Dr. Christoph von Laufenberg is a Counsel in Lieff Cabraser’s Munich office.

He advises clients across industries in complex commercial disputes, both in and out of court, and before international arbitral tribunals. Dr. von Laufenberg’s practice includes complex commercial litigation, mass actions, and post-M&A disputes. He regularly represents clients in arbitration proceedings under various arbitration rules, as well as before trial and appellate courts across Germany.

Dr. von Laufenberg is recognized by Best Lawyers and Handelsblatt as “Ones to Watch” for outstanding professional excellence (2021-2025). He regularly authors articles on antitrust, compliance, white collar, and enforcement issues, particularly with reference to US law.

Prior to joining Lieff Cabraser, Dr. von Laufenberg worked in another renowned international law firm in Munich. He was a research assistant at the University of Passau (Germany) and a visiting researcher at the University of Oxford (UK). He received his doctorate degree with a thesis on antitrust group liability.
