Biography

Cody Honeywell attended the University of St. Thomas School of Law in Minnesota where he received his Juris Doctor degree, with honors, in 2020. During law school, he worked for the Minnesota House Research Department where he supported and assisted legislative analysts on various issues arising during the state legislature process. He also participated in a Consumer Bankruptcy Clinic, which provided pro bono bankruptcy services to persons financially unable to retain counsel.

Cody was born and raised in Pierre. Prior to law school, he attended and graduated from T.F. Riggs High School. He then went on to attend South Dakota State University where he received a bachelor’s degree in Economics with minors in Accounting and Political Science.

Cody joined May, Adam, Gerdes & Thompson in 2020 and is admitted to practice law in the State of South Dakota. He is currently pursuing a general practice.
