Colin C. Smith: Attorney with Zachary D. Smith, LLC

Biography

Colin joined Zachary D. Smith, LLC after spending several years at a well-known boutique family law firm in downtown Cincinnati, where he learned the practice from the ground up—first as a paralegal and later as an attorney. That experience exposed him to the full range of family law work, including complex litigation, high-net-worth divorces, and appeals, and it taught him how much outcomes depend on preparation and good judgment. Before law, Colin worked in IT, helping individuals and small businesses solve software, hardware, and networking problems. He appreciated the technical challenge, but he wanted a career that put him in front of people and let him make a direct difference. Law ended up being the right fit, and family law in particular, because it demands versatility: negotiating when possible, litigating when necessary, and staying steady when emotions run high. Colin’s approach is to bring calm, clear guidance to stressful situations so clients feel informed, supported, and more in control of what happens next. Outside the office, he enjoys movies, tinkering with computers and electronics, and remembering when reading for fun came easier.
