Biography

After seven years with the Internal Revenue Service-Chief Counsel as a senior attorney, Connor developed talent and experience with every aspect of tax practice. He has litigated hundreds of cases, including numerous United States Tax Court trials. He has advised revenue agents and appeals officers and dealt with collection matters, He developed particular expertise relating to charitable contributions, providing legal assistance in the development of all noncash charitable contributions.

Connor also brings all aspects of business and estate law to Kell, Alterman & Runstein, L.L.P., including deferred compensation, business reorganizations, generational transitions, and maximization of opportunities for tax savings. Connor helps clients structure their affairs to avoid controversies before they occur and resolve them when they do. Having had the unique opportunity at the IRS to see the results of transactions, Connor is particularly well-positioned to help guide clients through the ever-changing pitfalls of the business and tax law landscape.

“Everything lawyers do is problem solving and risk management,” Connor says. “What I love to do is figure out a client’s objectives by thoroughly understanding their business and goals and guide them in the best way under the law.”When not working, Connor spends his time hiking and backpacking around the forests and mountains of the Pacific Northwest, plotting out his garden, and developing his basement cinema/Tiki bar.
