Biography

Corey Tallent has practiced law under the Illinois State Bar since 2014. A graduate of the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana and UIC‑John Marshall Law School, he has litigated extensively throughout Cook, DuPage, Lake, LaSalle, Kankakee, DeKalb, and numerous other Illinois counties. Corey routinely secures favorable rulings for clients—restoring parental rights, establishing decision-making authority, securing parenting time, and obtaining child support. Over nine years of criminal-defense practice have ranged from traffic and DUI cases to felony assault, battery, and attempted murder, resulting in over 30 not-guilty verdicts across three counties. That breadth of courtroom experience gives him a practical, strategic perspective where family and criminal matters intersect, and he is proficient in orders of protection, restraining orders, and all facets of family law.
