Biography

Daniel C. Stark has extensive and broad legal experience with an emphasis on complex litigation. Dan regularly represents clients in the state and federal courts of New Jersey and New York, as well as in arbitrations, mediations, and before administrative agencies.

Dan’s practice includes representing and counselling businesses of all sizes in a full spectrum of legal matters. His areas of focus include commercial litigation, chancery litigation, claims for injunctive and equitable remedies, prosecution and defense of minority shareholder oppression litigation, member and shareholder disputes in the context of closely-held entities, the fiduciary duties and statutory obligations of companies and their management, contract drafting and disputes, labor and employment, foreclosures, bankruptcy, insurance coverage, alternative dispute resolution, class action litigation, probate disputes, and appellate advocacy.

In addition to litigation, Dan often advises clients regarding compliance with and navigation of the ever-changing state and federal employment laws and related human resource matters. In that regard, he has conducted numerous internal investigations and has provided training for employees of all levels, including upper management. He also has substantial experience with traditional labor issues such as compliance with the National Labor Relations Act, union representation elections, unfair labor practice charges, and the negotiation and drafting of collective bargaining agreements.

Prior to obtaining his law license, Dan was a paralegal and law clerk at a major New Jersey law firm, during which time he gained invaluable experience as a member of the winning trial team in one of the largest, longest, and most complex probate litigations in the history of New Jersey jurisprudence.
