Daniel E. Cummins, Esquire is the managing partner of Cummins Law and has over 25 years of insurance defense and personal injury civil litigation experience all across the entire northeastern quarter of Pennsylvania.
Attorney Cummins, who is a graduate of Villanova University and the Dickinson School of Law, has focused his practice on defending motor vehicle accident liability cases and UIM/UM matters along with premises liability and products liability cases. Mr. Cummins is also routinely summoned by his clients to handle matters involving insurance coverage questions and insurance subrogation claims.
Attorney Cummins is one of only a few insurance defense attorneys in all of northeastern Pennsylvania selected to annually appear in the prestigious Best Lawyers in America Directory under the category of "Personal Injury Litigation - Defense," a distinction he has earned every year since 2015.

He has earned eight (8) Schnader Print Media Awards for excellence in legal writing.
He is also the sole creator and writer of the nationally recognized and award-winning blog Tort Talk, which can be found at www.TortTalk.com. The Tort Talk blog provides continuing updates on important Pennsylvania civil litigation cases and trends. Access to the blog is free and readers can sign up for an email subscription on the blog.
Attorney Cummins has also created and presented nearly 70 continuing legal education (CLE) courses over the years. These courses are designed to provide updates and analysis to fellow members of the bar on important court decisions and emerging trends in civil litigation law to both lawyers and judges at various conferences and seminars.
CLERKSHIP
After graduating from law school, Mr. Cummins served as the Senior Law Clerk for the Honorable Harold A. Thomson, Jr. in the Pike County Court of Common Pleas for two years before going into private practice, where he has focused on insurance defense litigation ever since.

PERSONAL
Attorney Cummins resides in the South Abington section of Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania with his wife, Anne, and their three sons, Daniel, Michael, and Christopher, along with their Black Lab, Ellie. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, writing, exercising, traveling, and coaching local little league sports. He is an avid fan of the Philadelphia Phillies, the Philadelphia Eagles, the Villanova Wildcats basketball team, and the Abington Heights Comets.
